Rachel's Profile.
Brought up in a musical home, Rachel was influenced by Classical, Country and Gospel music for as long as she can remember.
A 3rd generation pianist, she found she had a natural ear for music and was writing and composing from the age of 6.
At 18, during her college years, the rheumatoid arthritis that had been diagnosed at the age of 13, hit her body with force. With her education interrupted Rachel put her talents to use from home and began to teach and to write.
Over the years, Rachel has taught privately as well as in schools; run the music department for years 3 – 11; directed church, school and community choirs; c0-written and performed on numerous local artists’ albums; recorded and released her first solo piano EP; helped to equip and train worship teams in churches across three cities, as well as abroad; and has written much music for weddings.
Her motivation is always to help release and inspire gift and through her own music bring peace, rest and joy to her listeners.

Signature Music
My Music
Mended Scars is my first solo piano EP released in June 2018. This EP came from what had been the most savage few years of my life. It speaks of the tearing, cutting open, grief, loss, trauma, betrayal and rejection that life can reap on us and the healing touch of a Saviour’s hand as he reaches into the mess to restore, renew, repair and rescue so that we live again. Designed to be contemplative and restorative my hope is that it will take the listener on a journey to peace and rest and calm. This is available on all online forums.

Music was a really important part of our wedding – probably one of the things we gave the most thought to when planning – it’s something we are both passionate about, and it really creates an atmosphere to the day.

Cue Rachel. What a joy! We chose a song that really spoke to us of what our marriage was about, and that we loved the melody to … and Rachel crafted it into a beautiful piano piece full of her own artistic flair. She created moments within it for the points where the bridesmaids walked in, where I made my entrance and even when I turned down the aisle, and ended it on a gorgeous, very gentle note at just the right point…I think most people were crying!!!
It was the best choice we could have made – I’ve never known someone put so much thought, effort and talent into creating such a beautiful piece for a really important moment. Thank you Rachel!
